Why chose Shutter Close Photography for your next event?
Let my work speak for itself!
In today's day and age i feel the word "Professional" has been overused and abused within this industry and perhaps others. Base your choice of experience off the images of the photographer; that will give you a true reflection of whom you're hiring.
There are hundreds to thousand of photographers out there; so what makes me different? Well here are my reasons!
1. I honestly tried attending a schooling course for photography and got extremely bored of it (not uncommon for me, I'm more of hands on person) so instead I stopped going to the courses; drove to Chapters and picked up 15 books about photography. Read every book front to back, back to front and challenged myself to go recreate a image based out of the book. Camera in one hand, book in the other and I would set out and learn in the field! I learned from my mistakes; boy did I ever, my errors, I learned to work with what is in front of me and to understand that it's not perfect. Every time I encountered a new scenario, genre or a problem I would go buy another book and learn about it first.
2. I care about the people and making images to remember. You always hear someone telling you what they can do and how much they charge; but have you ever had a photographer explain how important it is to them? Hiring someone you don't know has it's risk, always has and always will. Personally I enjoy getting to know all of my clients as if we have been friends for years; sharing our ideas the good the bad, sitting down with one another and just talking about life. It always make a photoshoot just feel welcoming.
3. I love photography for one very important reason; which will need to be read in the About Me
What else do I need to know when looking for a photographer?
Is the photography business you're looking into a registered business? If its not I suggest you walk away from it. A reputable business has a license.
Ask about their gear - a Full Frame camera and prime lenses means the photographer has invested in their gear. Backup camera are always handy but not necessary to have.
Ask questions; you're the paying client. Be sure when booking to have a contract stating the details of the conversations so you're covered.
